Get Your Prep On
What It Is
"Get Your Prep On" is a year-long program specifically designed for 9th grade students and their families, which is funded by the Missouri Department of Higher Education and brought to you by College Bound.
Why?
Ninth grade is an exciting and challenging time, and for many of you, figuring out how to succeed at high school is a full time job. Here at College Bound, we know that the decisions you make your ninth grade year can have a big impact on what kind of options you have your senior year, what kinds of colleges you can get in to, and whether you go to college at all.
We want to provide you with information and resources about how to use your high school time to get yourself on the best track for you. We will give you step-by-step instructions on how to plan, prepare, pay for and pursue a college education, and talk to you about why working towards college is so important.
What It Looks Like
“Get Your Prep On” provides all ninth grade students in our partner schools with three in-school student workshops over the year, an opportunity to have in-school Q&A with a CB College Coach, and “College Prep Hotline” for students to call.
We also are offering three parent information sessions and mailing materials home, to help your parents figure out how to help you.
