Program Overview
Founded in 2017, CB@STLCC is an on-campus program located at STLCC–Forest Park. Designed for first-time degree seekers who are low-income or first-generation students, this program offers an immersive community experience that empowers students to succeed academically, transfer to four-year colleges, and start meaningful careers.
Who Can Apply?
This program is for STLCC–Forest Park students who:
- Are first-time degree seekers
- Are low-income or first-generation
- Are seeking a supportive community and tailored resources
Applications are accepted year-round.
Services and Support
Students benefit from access to a full team of specialists -with expertise in academics, career development, and personal wellness–who work together to create an individualized success plan. Support includes:
- One-on-one mentoring and tutoring
- Peer groups (PODs) focusing on key needs such as math skills, time management, and career direction
- Social events and a welcoming student space
- Mental health counseling
- Free food, hygiene supplies, and school essentials
Flexible, Student-Driven Participation
We understand college life is demanding. Students can scale their participation based on their needs, meeting with staff as often as necessary, or a minimum of once per month.

CB@STLCC is transforming outcomes for students:
- 43.5% graduation rate (4x higher than the national average for low-income community college students)
- Half-point GPA increase on average per year
- 65% of students currently on track to graduate
